DNA India | Indian Version of Facebook

A 12-year-old school student conceptualised the idea of the Indian version of social networking site Facebook and with assistance from three seniors, he came up the Friends Networking site that allows registration of only Indians.
The four also ensured complete security of user data. In the first two days of launch, over one hundred people have joined the networking site with around 30 users turning out to be ‘fake’.
Rahul Choudhary, a class 9 student, proposed around a year ago, the idea of developing the Indian version of Facebook. He had a team comprising Riddhi Soral, an engineering graduate of Rajasthan Technical University and security developer, Ishan Upadhyay, a class 10 student who carried out research on developing an Indian version of Facebook and Tapan Kumar Jha, who is an engineering graduate and a cyber security expert who heads the four-member team.
